Complex, large scale projects

Mottech excels in the design and implementation of modular control systems developed in accordance with the evolving needs of our customers. Our solutions are built for a variety of applications and can combine multiple applications in a single system.

The IRRInet platform enables controlling any sized scheme — small- and medium-sized systems to complex, large-scale projects, requiring efficient, user-friendly water control and management of tens of thousands of elements (valves, water meters, sensors, pumps, and more).

Motorola’s system can be used with third-party systems, giving full control and management through its ICC PRO software:

  • Motorola controllers can interface through Modbus protocols (e.g., connect to PLC)
  • Third-party databases (for example, billing systems, sensors, maps, and more) can be added directly to the ICC PRO software via API protocol

Integrated solutions

Mottech designs and implements a communications and control infrastructure and connects all the required elements to the network. Using ICC PRO software, we link between the elements (valves, water meters, sensors, water pumps, water level sensors, and more).

Our unique ability is building a control system in which each element continuously communicates with all the other elements, thereby allowing each element to control and affect other elements, regardless of distance and hydraulic scheme.

This feature explains why Mottech’s solution is considered as one of leaders for full synchronization between the water supply system and the irrigation system. In municipality applications, our customers use the Motorola system to control and coordinate turf and landscape irrigation together with various water sources (for example, greywater, stormwater harvest, and others), and lighting sports fields.

A professional, stable, and reliable communications infrastructure is the critical foundation of any control system, especially when it relates to a control system in which all the elements (1) are in continuous, permanent communication with each other and (2) react in real-time to any changes (for example, large-scale urban water management projects). Using advanced communications networks, Motorola systems achieve effective data transfer over various communication technologies: radio, cellular, line connection, computer network, and more.

Motorola enables a number of communication methods in the same control system to allow Mottech to design and implement the most professional, efficient, and affordable communications network.

Performing sophisticated networking features such as data store and forward capabilities and RTU-TO-RTU data communications, we make it possible to build a stable, reliable communications network and allow monitoring and control even in the most remote sites without a cellular or Internet infrastructure.

Multilevel management & control

Motorola’s system is designed for applications with multiple simultaneous users. Information access is restricted to authorized and authenticated users via a flexible, multilevel password authorization mechanism (from the system level to a single element).

Our system allows for defining the major components (I/Os, programs, lines, reports, and more) and assigning multiple permission levels for each system user (from not authorized to full editing privileges).

The advanced permissions mechanism integrated into the ICC PRO software allows for managing the system hierarchy, and allowing management of the system by a number of users who have different roles (for example, operators, contractors, managers).

Motorola’s control systems offer customers intelligent, cost-efficient solutions that use innovative water leak detection methods and leading-edge techniques for calculating and automatically changing water irrigation quantities as required, dramatically reducing water consumption, energy, labor, and resources.

The system enables monitoring the irrigation system and turning off the water in response to water leakage, high flow, or other irrigation problems.

The capability of the system to identify, respond, and report in real-time leads to significant savings in water consumption.

Other significant savings come from planning and changing the quantities for each valve in the system. Mottech solutions enable calculating the accurate amount of water for every valve in the irrigation system based on parameters such as plot area, days between irrigation, crop type, daily ET.
