Valves

Motorola’s control system activates solenoids to control opening/closing irrigation valves. The system enables taking control over an unlimited number of irrigation valves – accessed locally or remotely. Using the irrigation program, the system automatically opens and closes the valves. Controlling the opening and closing of the valves, according to specific timing and quantity requirements, enables efficient management of water pressure and flow rates.

Meters

The water meter is at the heart of the control system for irrigation and water supply. When connected to one of the controller inputs, water meter data can be used for real-time monitoring of irrigation and water supply systems.
With IRRInet, it’s possible to read and monitor most types of water meters with a pulse or analog interface. Water meter data is used to control the water flow and quantities in irrigation programs, accumulation reports, flow charts, water balances, planned versus actual reports, water budgets, and more.

Sensors

We connect digital and analog sensors to our system to bring information to the ICC PRO server. The advantages are clear:

First, there is no need for a separate communication system for the sensors. The IRRInet control system transfers the sensor data to the ICC PRO.

Second, we have the know-how to integrate sensor data into the irrigation control system. (For example, using soil moisture data as a condition for starting/stopping the irrigation program. Or, using pressure sensor data as a condition for turning the water pump on or off.) Sensors connect to one of the inputs of the installed Motorola control units and transfer data to the ICC PRO control center.

Sensor data is displayed in real time in ICC PRO and is presented as graphs and in reports to enable more efficient, more precise irrigation and water supply.

Weather Stations

Weather stations play a central role in irrigation control systems. Data from these stations indicate irrigation timing and amount of water required.

Weather stations (Mottech’s or other brands) can be integrated into the control system in one of two ways:

  1. by connecting the station’s data server directly to ICC PRO server software, or
  2. by directly connecting the weather station to the Motorola controller.

Integrating the weather station into the control system makes it possible to use the station data for professional, efficient irrigation. For example, the value for daily evaporation (ET) is automatically retrieved and used to calculate the amount of water required for irrigation.

Data from the weather station is displayed in real time and presented on graphs or in reports.

Water Pumps

Water pumps play an integral part in irrigation and water supply systems, so it’s natural that our system integrates water pumps as part of our irrigation control system. Through IRRInet, our users can control the pump directly or connect a PLC to open and close the pump to synchronize with the irrigation system, monitor the pump’s status, receive alerts, monitor energy consumption, synchronize multiple pumps, and more.

The ICC PRO can operate the pump and display the collected output values in real time.

Fertilizers

Our IRRInet system supports incorporating fertilizers as part of our irrigation program. Fertilizer quantities are defined in the irrigation program for complete synchronization between the irrigation program and the fertilizer program. IRRInet supports incorporating one or more fertilizer machines, each using different types of fertilizer, in spot or centralized fertilizing efforts.

The ICC PRO supports various options for advanced fertilizer solutions: time- or quantity-based, quantitative or relative, irrigation before and after, and calculating quantities (by water/fertilizer ratio or area/fertilizer ratio, or by fertilizer units).

The system prevents our users from entering incorrect fertilizer values, monitors the amount of fertilizer in the tank, displays fertilizer usage, and sends usage reports. The system sends alerts in the event of fertilizer leaks, shortages in the tank, or fertilizer pump alarms.

The IRRInet platform gives our users an excellent infrastructure for —

  • controlling and managing electricity grids
  • watering sports fields
  • locking and unlocking security gates
  • turning fountains on and off
  • opening and closing (or locking/unlocking) public restrooms … and more
