Controlling Water Pumping, Supply & Irrigation

Green World, our main distributor in South Korea in the field of golf  and landscape, is active in establishing and maintaining golf courses.

Established in 1994, Sky Valley Country Club is a prestigious 36-hole golf club in South Korea.

Our solution for the Sky Valley focused on controlling and monitoring the entire irrigation water system, starting from pumping the water at the river all the way through irrigating the grass on the course.

Project development took place on three different levels:

  1. Water pumping. Controlled by our Piccolo XR end units, water for irrigation was pumped directly from the river to fill two water tanks located in the mountains.
  2. Water supply. Bringing water from the tanks to the golf courses was facilitated by our Piccolo XR end units to control pressure pumps and to monitor the height of the water tank, the pressure of the
    water, the flow rate, and pump malfunctions.
  3. Irrigation. Our decoder system managed and controlled the golf course lawns, using two IRRInet ACE modules to command decoder and decoder active line units for opening all valves and sprinklers according to irrigation requirements. Irrigation in the fields was carried out by valves and sprinklers working at variable pressures and influenced by changing characteristics (varying grass types and heights, sensitive surfaces, complex topography, weather conditions).

  • 1 PIU radio kit
  • 8 Piccolo XRs
  • About 500 decodes and active linear decoder units

Mottech’s solution met all my demands. Despite the complexity of the project, which included, among other things, integrating various communication types (radio, LAN, WIRE 2), establishing antennas for reliable radio communication, and installing hundreds of decoder units for complete integration between all the systems.
